✨ Spinning Magic Christmas Wand ✨ Slide the charm onto the twisted stick, lift the wand… and watch the Star, Snowflake, Christmas Tree or Snowman spin all the way down. Flip it over and it spins again. Simple, hypnotic and surprisingly hard to put down – the Christmas edition of the viral spinning wand. 🎁 Perfect for stocking stuffers, advent calendars, party favours, school Christmas fairs and craft-market sellers (4 charms = 4 products from one print plate). WHAT YOU GET • 4 charms: ⭐ Star, ❄️ Snowflake, 🎄 Christmas Tree, ⛄ Snowman (snowman has recessed eyes & buttons – easy to paint or colour-swap by layer) • Twisted stick (1 turn per 80 mm) with press-fit pegs • Ergonomic handle with finger grooves • Star topper (keeps the charm on the wand) • One-piece stick + handle version for printers with ≥ 220 mm Z • 8 ready print profiles: A1, A1 mini, P1S/X1C – single colour (NO AMS) and 4-colour AMS WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT • NO AMS needed – every colour is a separate part. Red stick, green handle, gold star, white snowflake: just swap filament between parts. • No supports, no glue needed (press fit – a drop of CA glue is optional) • Prints straight off the textured plate. Charms take ~25–40 min each, the whole wand under 2 h. • Fits the A1 mini: separate stick is 170 mm tall. • Spins smoothly in PLA: 0.45 mm clearance in the twisted hub, tuned for 0.4 mm nozzles. • Parametric OpenSCAD source included – change twist, clearance, length or charm size and make your own charms. PRINT SETTINGS (already in the profiles) • 0.20 mm layers (0.12 mm profile for extra-smooth hub), 3 walls, 15 % infill, no supports • Stick: print VERTICALLY with a 5 mm brim (set per object in the profiles). Outer wall ≤ 80 mm/s. • Charms, topper, handle: print flat, no brim. • PLA 220 °C / bed 65 °C. PETG also works (slightly more clearance may be needed). ASSEMBLY (30 seconds) 1. Slide the charm onto the stick from the thin (Ø6) end. 2. Press the star topper onto the Ø6 peg. 3. Press the Ø10 peg into the handle. Done! TROUBLESHOOTING • Charm too tight / doesn't spin → scale the charm 101–102 % in XY only, or print at 0.12 mm. • Charm too loose / rattles → scale 98–99 % in XY. • Topper loose → a drop of CA glue. • Stick snapped (toddler test 😄) → print the stick with 4 walls or use PETG. A reinforced flat-stick version is coming.
