It feels like black magic, but it’s pure geometry and perspective trickery: The arrows on the front and back faces are fixed at a 90° angle relative to each other Because a regular octagon has 8-fold symmetry (with corners every 45°), your fingers naturally grip opposite flat edges or corners without your eyes registering the re-indexed angle. When you flip the coin horizontally, a vertical arrow stays pointing UP, while a horizontal arrow points to the SIDE. If you first tilt or index the token by 45° before flipping it across that new axis, the 90° relationship between the arrows compensates for the rotation—causing both sides to unexpectedly align in the same vertical direction! It’s an incredible party trick, desk toy, and conversation starter that will leave your friends scratching their heads! 🖨️ Several Printing Options (AMS & No-AMS Friendly!)
