Descripción

How It Works The robot consists of a small, two-wheeled chassis that drives inside a hollow spherical shell. Its low center of gravity keeps the chassis near the bottom of the sphere, while the motorized wheels push against the inner surface, causing the ball to roll. The chassis is designed so that only the drive wheels contact the inner surface during normal operation. Two additional wheels at the top help the robot recover if it accidentally flips upside down. Two programmable RGB LEDs serve as eyes, making it easier to identify the robot's orientation. Small conical light guides follow the curvature of the sphere and prevent light from spreading sideways, creating two clearly defined circular eyes. Mechanical Design The outer sphere is made of two snap-fit hemispheres, allowing assembly without screws while maintaining a smooth internal surface. The drive wheels can be printed entirely in PLA or with rigid PLA hubs and flexible TPU tires. Both versions worked well during testing. Electronics Main components: 2 400 RPM geared DC motors 2 programmable RGB LEDs CyberBrick controller and motor control hardware Battery Power switch Compatible CyberBrick remote controller The electronics use plug-in connectors, so no soldering is required. Motor control, LED behavior, and remote functions can be configured using the CyberBrick software.
