ModTac Slingshot PIY – Print It Yourself The ModTac Slingshot PIY (Print It Yourself) is designed for makers who want to print and build their own ModTac Slingshot. The model is prepared so that the required hardware can be inserted during the printing process. The print file includes the necessary pauses/stops at the correct moments, allowing you to place items such as nuts into the print before continuing. Important During Printing At every pause, carefully check that all hardware is fully and correctly seated before resuming the print. If a nut shifts, lifts up, or is not properly positioned in its recess, it cannot be corrected afterwards. In that case, the print will need to be restarted. Take a moment at every stop to make sure everything is sitting flat and securely in place before continuing. PIY Hardware Kit Don’t want to source all the required hardware yourself? A ModTac Slingshot PIY Kit is available at www.modtac.nl, containing the hardware required during the printing process, including the sticker for the finishing touch once everything has been painted. The remaining hardware and components can then be selected according to your own preference. Installing the Connectors When installing the connectors into the print, a small amount of Loctite / threadlocker can be applied to the threads. This helps prevent the connectors from rotating during use. ModTac Branding This MakerWorld version includes ModTac branding. Removing, modifying, covering, or altering the ModTac branding, markings, or printed details is not permitted. If you prefer the ModTac Slingshot without ModTac branding, the unbranded version is available through: www.modtac.nl Photos The photos show two different versions: The ModTac Slingshot with branding, shown essentially as it comes off the printer, with the supports removed and the connectors installed.
