Runes & Celtic Knots-My Modeling Toolkit (Ready for Thermo-Forming!) Hey everyone! I apologize upfront because what cosplaying handcraft is supposed to be, im complete garbage at that. If you’ve seen some of my armor models (like my Dwarven or Druid sets), you might have noticed the runes and Celtic knots I often use to add that extra detail. I've received quite a few private messages asking about these specific design elements and how I create them. Instead of keeping them locked away in my blend/cad files, I thought: why not share one of my core modeling toolkits with the community? Maybe some of you can find a great use for them in your own projects!   What's included? A full set of Futhark Runes (each labeled on the plate for easy tracking). A few variations of Celtic Knots to embellish corners and borders. How I use them for Cosplay & Armor: You can absolutely just attach these digitally to your models before printing, but they are also perfect for post-processing flat or slightly curved surfaces! Print them flat: Print the runes or knots with just a few layers (keep them thin). Heat them up: Grab a standard hairdryer or heat gun and gently warm the printed piece until it becomes flexible. Shape & Glue: Press it onto your curved armor piece (like a gauntlet, pauldron, or helmet) so it perfectly conforms to the shape, then secure it with some plastic cement or superglue. Paint: Primer and paint as usual to get that embedded, carved-stone, or forged-metal look! Feel free to kitbash these into your own designs, use them for cosplay accent pieces, or just scale them up for standalone decor. If you make something cool with them, please share a picture in the comments-I'd love to see how you use them! Happy printing!
