Garmin USB-C Charging Stand | Recessed Cable A snug home for your Garmin, with a recessed charging plug and a tidy cable route. I designed this around my epix Pro (Gen 2), 47 mm, using a genuine Garmin USB-C charging cable. The cradle is shaped around the back of the watch and its sensor, so the watch sits close to the stand with support around the recess. The charging plug presses firmly into its own pocket. The cable passes through the stand, then follows a gentle bend at the rear so it can lie on the desk. Boost MeI put a lot of care into getting this little stand just right. If it’s earned a spot on your desk, a boost would make my day! Thanks for supporting my designs, and do share a photo of yours. Cheers, Ste!What makes it useful Recessed charging plug for a neat, close fit. Shaped watch cradle to locate and support the watch. Cable routed through the support, with a gentle rear exit. One printed part, with no screws or glue needed. AMS colour details: white lettering and a blue triangle on a matte black body. A compact footprint of 60 × 65 mm, approximately 69 mm tall. Cable requirement - read before printing Use the genuine Garmin USB-C cable, with the same watch-plug housing as the one shown in the photos. The USB-C end must thread through first. This version is not designed for a USB-A-ended cable; third-party plug housings have not been checked. Treat this as a dedicated-cable stand. The watch plug is a firm press fit. It is designed to keep that cable secure, removing is possible but difficult! Obviously the watch itself can be connected and removed normally, that's the point of it! Watch compatibility Printed and tested: epix Pro (Gen 2), 47 mm, with the genuine Garmin USB-C cable. Expected fit, not yet physically tested: epix Pro (Gen 2) 51 mm; epix (Gen 2) 47 mm; fēnix 7 / 7 Pro, 47 mm; fēnix 7X / 7X Pro, 51 mm. These expected fits follow the intended epix/fēnix fit family. The larger case can overhang the circular cradle. Rear sensor geometry can differ between generations, so check the watch-back recess and connector alignment before committing the cable to its firm fit. A shared charging connector alone does not establish compatibility with this stand. Smaller 42/43 mm watches and other Garmin families are not verified. If you try another model, please share its full name, case size and a photo of the fit. Printing The photos show the supplied Bambu Lab X2D profile, printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle on textured PEI: Bambu PLA Matte: black body, blue triangle and white lettering. 0.16 mm layers, 0.20 mm first layer, 2 walls and 15% gyroid. Tree supports, Hybrid style, build plate only. PLA support bodies with Bambu Support for PLA/PETG as the interface. Top-surface ironing: 30 mm/s, 10% flow, 0.15 mm spacing and 0.21 mm inset. Keep the supplied orientation and 100% scale. The 3MF contains the colour painting and support settings. The support filament is separate from the three PLA colours; check the filament and nozzle assignments before slicing on your printer. PETG as PLA support interface would work as well, keep supports on build plate only. (The STL is included for other slicers or a single-colour setup. It contains the geometry only.) Assembly Remove the supports and clear the connector pocket and cable passage. Check the cable and watch fit before the final press fit. With the cable disconnected from power, feed the USB-C end through the stand first, from the watch-plug opening towards the rear exit. Align the Garmin plug with its shaped recess. Support the print and press on the plug housing, keeping force off the contacts and cable. The final fit is firm; do not use the watch to push the plug into place. Seat the cable along the rear guide and leave it relaxed on the desk. The stand should sit flat without being pulled by the cable. Align the watch with the plug and cradle, connect the USB-C end to power, and check that charging starts. Hold the stand when removing the watch. The illustrated assembly guide is included with the files. Share your print If you make one, I'd love to see it. A photo and your watch model will help build the compatibility list. If it earns a permanent spot on your desk, a Boost is always appreciated! An independent design for Garmin watches; not an official Garmin accessory.
