Descripción
Singapore Spike Ball – Pop-In Spike Fidget This is my 3D printed take on the classic woodturned Singapore ball. Roll it, tilt it or turn it in your hand, and the spikes slide through their holes. They drop out on the low side and pull back in on the high side, so it changes shape every time you move it. It’s very satisfying to fidget with and looks great on a desk. Two sizes 3.5" (89 mm), 32 spikes: a big, chunky ball that fills your hand 2" (51 mm), 12 spikes: pocket and desk size What makes this one different No AMS needed. Every plate prints in one color. Print the ball in one color and the spikes in another. Pop-in spikes. There’s no glue, hardware or splitting the ball in half. Each spike pushes into its hole and pops into place, then slides freely without falling out. Replaceable spikes. If you break or lose one, pop it out and print a new one. Spare spikes are included on the plate. Tested. I designed it and test-printed both sizes on my own Bambu A1s. Print profiles 3.5" / 32 spikes: Plate 1 is the ball body. Plate 2 is 32 spikes plus spares. 2" / 12 spikes: Plate 1 is the ball body. Plate 2 is 12 spikes plus spares. Print settings Material: PLA for both the body and the spikes (tested) Layer height: .2mm body large, .18mm body small , large pins and small .16mm Supports: yes on build plate only Infill: 5% adaptive make 3 to 4 wall Assembly Print the body and the spikes. Clear any strings out of the holes. Push each spike into a hole, inner end first, until it pops in. Roll the ball around to check that every spike slides freely. If the spikes fit tight, run your printer’s flow calibration and reprint the spikes. Color ideas: Black body with orange spikes is shown. Silk gold spikes on a black body (the 2" photos) look great too, and glow-in-the-dark spikes would work well. ⚠️ Small parts: not for young children. If you print one, please post a make. I’d love to see your color combos. Questions and feedback are welcome in the comments.
