Flexi Egg Fidget - Print-in-Place

Meet the Flexi Egg, a 100% print-in-place, ultra-satisfying tactile fidget toy!   Following the popularity of my previous designs that utilized embedded fabric netting, I wanted to create a fully self-contained, 3D-printable solution that offered the same incredible drape and feel.   After testing 18 different print-in-place mesh styles and finding none that hit the right balance of flexibility, aesthetic appeal, and fidget satisfaction, I decided to create my own custom mechanism.   Enter HexFlex. Inspired by hexmaille by Lobocnc, HexFlex mesh was designed completely from scratch. Every joint, dimension, and geometric tolerance was custom-developed and refined through months of iterative testing. The result is a print-in-place chainmaille-style mesh that flows smoothly, twists freely, and provides a surprisingly tactile, fabric-like drape straight off the print bed.
