Dragon Scale Shoe Guard for Motorcycles My bike was wearing out my shoes. On a motorcycle you shift gears with your toe, and the lever hits the exact same spot every time, until the shoe gives up. This dragon scale shoe guard takes the hit instead: one flexible piece of armor that wraps around the toe and stays put while you ride. Design & Concept I wanted the protection to look like it belongs on a rider, not like a patch. So the guard is covered in overlapping scales, like the skin of a dragon, and the scales are what meet the lever. It prints flat in flexible TPU as a single piece, base and scales together, then it bends around the shoe and follows the shape of the toe. A small clip hooks under the laces and an elastic strap runs under the sole, so it fits sneakers and casual shoes without glue or tools. Key Features: Dragon Scale Armor: Overlapping scales cover the toe and take every gear change, so the shoe underneath stays clean. One Flexible Piece: Base and scales print together in TPU. Soft on the shoe, tough against the lever. Prints Flat: No supports. It comes off the plate flat and wraps around your shoe. Clip and Strap: The clip slides under your laces and the elastic strap goes under the sole. On in seconds, off just as fast. Two Colors or One: Red scales on a black base with a single filament change, or one color all over. Your Own Shoes: Made for sneakers and casual shoes, so you can ride in what you already wear. Hardware Required: Elastic Strap: One elastic strap, threaded through the two side slots and passed under the sole. Printing Recommendations: Shoe Guard: Material: Flexible TPU. The profiles use Bambu TPU for AMS. Two Colors: The base prints in black, then the filament changes to red at 2.4 mm for the scales. Single Color: One TPU color for the whole guard. Shown in black. Settings: 0.2 mm layers, 2 walls, 15% infill, no supports. Size: 120 x 77 mm, flat on the plate. Clip: Material: PLA. Shown in red. Supports: Needed, already set in the clip 3MF. Assembly Print the shoe guard in TPU and the clip in PLA. Thread the elastic strap through the two side slots. Insert the clip into the slot at the top of the guard. Place the guard on the toe of your shoe and slide the clip under the laces. Pass the strap under the sole and ride.
