Acorn Keeper - Squirrel & Acorn Sculpture

Big cheeks. Bigger acorn. Absolutely no intention of sharing.   Acorn Keeper is a little woodland squirrel holding onto an oversized acorn, complete with an oak-leaf lattice, a textured cap and a wonderfully ridiculous curled tail. I love the contrast between his chunky, cheeky face and all the detail around him. The flowing fur, tiny paws and open acorn give you plenty to discover without losing that clear, cute silhouette.   The photographed version is printed in a single warm, earthy colour, letting the sculpted details do the work.  I went with Bambus Matte Desert Tan. It fits beautifully into an autumn display, but this little guy deserves shelf space all year.   A lovely piece for a bookshelf, desk or cosy woodland corner—and a fun gift for squirrel lovers.
