Playing Card Deck Box With Lid and Playing Tray

I designed this compact card box to do more than just store a deck.   When everything is packed away, the ribbed outer cover fits snugly over the base, creating a clean and compact storage box.   Take the cover off and the bottom section becomes a tabletop card holder, keeping your draw pile neatly contained and easy to reach during a game.   The large curved openings on each side make it easy to grab cards without having to lift the entire deck out of the tray.   It fits up to 108 cards, for games like Uno.    There are several options to choose from when printing. A plain model with just plain sides and plaid lid, others with an embossed pattern on the side, and another with a two tone image on the lid.  The cover features a vertical ribbed texture around all four sides. It gives the box a more finished look, adds some grip, and works particularly well with the natural texture of FDM printing. Rounded corners and the close-fitting two-piece construction make the finished print feel more like a complete product than a simple storage container.  Fit The box is intentionally designed with a snug fit. This prevents the two pieces from feeling loose or rattling around when stored.   As with most fitted 3D prints, the exact fit can vary slightly depending on your printer, filament and extrusion calibration. You might have to print the lid a couple of percent larger if it's too tight.
