Turn ONE crank and the whole park comes alive! 🎡🎠 Crankland is a fully mechanical miniature amusement park where a single hand crank powers four different rides at the same time through a visible system of shafts and gears. No motors, no electronics – just mechanical movement. Boost MeIf you like Crankland, a Boost would really support my work and help me create more functional mechanical amusement-park models. Thank you! 🎡🎡 Four Moving Rides One crank drives the entire park, but every attraction moves differently: • Ferris Wheel Turns slowly while 8 open gondolas swing freely on their own filament axles. • Carousel Horses and carriage benches circle underneath a detailed tent roof. • Freefall Tower A mechanical cam slowly lifts the 8-seat ride vehicle up the tower before suddenly releasing it for the drop. • Spinning Teacups The main platform rotates while all four cups spin independently around the fixed center teapot. ⚙️ One Crank – Full Mechanical Drive The park is powered by a long central drive shaft running through the base. A crown gear transfers the motion into the center of the park, where the surrounding gears distribute it to the different attractions. Turn the crank clockwise and all four rides start moving together. 🎢 Detailed Amusement Park Crankland is much more than just the moving rides. The park also includes: • CRANKLAND entrance gate • ticket booth • snack stand • cobblestone-style paths • park lamps • benches • trees and hedges • ride stations and boarding areas • stairs and railings • detailed mechanical structures 🧩 Mechanical Details The entire model is designed around printed mechanical connections: • hexagonal drive shafts • crown gears and pinions • press-fit connections • printed pins • square locating pegs • crush-rib fits • freely swinging Ferris wheel gondolas Short pieces of 1.75 mm filament are used as the gondola axles. No glue is required. 🖨️ Print Information • Approx. 240 × 240 mm base • Approx. 186 mm tall • 46 printed parts • 18 build plates • Only a few color changes • No supports • No glue required • No motor required • Fully hand-powered • Mechanical gear drive • Four moving attractions Assembly is designed to stay simple despite the large number of moving parts, with most components using press-fit, snap-fit or keyed connections. 🎡 Turn the crank and watch the whole park move at once!
