The Vampire’s Cathedral is a dark Gothic display piece that combines a fanged vampire skull with the ruins of an elaborate cathedral revealed through its broken cranium. The fractured skull opens to expose a surprisingly deep architectural interior filled with pointed Gothic arches, towering columns, ribbed vaults, recessed passageways, and a distant sanctuary. From the front, the prominent fangs hint at the creature this skull once belonged to; turn the model and the broken side reveals the cathedral hidden within. The jagged edges of the shattered bone act almost like the ruined walls of an archaeological relic, creating a natural transition between the organic skull and the structured Gothic architecture inside. Mounted on its own decorative pedestal, the finished model is designed as a substantial display piece for Gothic decor, dark academia collections, horror displays, Halloween decor, or anyone who appreciates unusual architectural models. The skull will sit fine without the pedestal as well. It looks striking printed in a natural bone/ivory color, allowing the shadows inside the cathedral to bring out the architectural depth. The model also offers plenty of opportunity for painters—an aged bone wash, subtle weathering, and restrained dry brushing could emphasize the cracks, teeth, broken edges, columns, and vaulting without overwhelming the sculpture. Printing note: Due to the cathedral's deep interior, columns, arches, and vaulted architecture, carefully review support placement in your slicer. The intricate interior is the centerpiece of the model, so use supports that minimize contact with visible architectural surfaces whenever possible.
