He Brought a Spare. 🐎⚔️🎃 When the moon rises and the graveyard goes quiet, you might hear hoofbeats coming through the darkness... Meet the Midnight Rider, a spooky-but-fun Halloween display featuring a headless horseman charging through an eerie graveyard on his dark steed—sword raised in one hand and a grinning jack-o'-lantern held high in the other. With the twisted dead tree, crooked gravestones, creeping roots, flowing cape, wild horse and that mischievous pumpkin grin, there's a lot to discover from every angle. He's dramatic, a little creepy, and still has just enough personality to keep him firmly in the fun Halloween category. And best of all, this entire scene can be printed in multiple colors without an AMS! 🐎 A Full Halloween Scene The Midnight Rider was designed as a complete display rather than just a standalone character. The scene brings together the rider, dark horse, jack-o'-lantern, curved sword, twisted tree, gravestones, roots and detailed graveyard base into one finished model. I especially love the movement in this one. Between the horse's raised leg, flowing mane and tail, the rider's tattered cape, raised arms and twisted branches behind him, the whole scene feels like you caught the Midnight Rider right in the middle of his nightly ride. 🎨 NO AMS REQUIRED! No AMS is required for this model. The major color elements have been separated into individual parts so you can print them independently and assemble everything afterward. Print him in classic Halloween colors like I did, go darker and creepier, or completely change the palette. A bone-white horse, blood-red cape, purple pumpkin or even a glow-in-the-dark jack-o'-lantern could completely change the personality of the model. This is one of those prints where you can really have fun making your version unique. 🧩 IMPORTANT ASSEMBLY NOTES This is a multipart model using a combination of peg-and-hole connections and glued connections. I strongly recommend dry fitting EVERYTHING before applying glue. There are two assembly steps in particular that you'll want to pay attention to: 🌳 Tree & Root: The tree and roots are printed together, but the longer root must be carefully detached from the tree before final assembly. This is intentional and is necessary to properly position and fit the tree onto the base. Once the tree is positioned, the detached root can be installed in its proper location to complete the scene. 🐎 Rider & Horse: I recommend assembling the entire rider BEFORE attaching him to the horse. That includes the: Body Hands/arms Boots Pumpkin Sword Once your Midnight Rider is completely assembled and you're happy with the fit of his pieces, position the finished rider onto the dark horse. Trying to assemble all those pieces after he's already seated on the horse will make the process much more difficult. 👻 Build It Your Way Don't worry about making yours match mine exactly. Change the colors. Paint the details. Use silk filament on the sword. Try glow-in-the-dark filament for the gravestones or pumpkin. Make the horse ghostly white. Give the tree an eerie color. Dry fit your parts, glue everything once you're happy with the placement, and most importantly—have fun with it. When all those individual pieces finally come together, you've got one seriously fun Halloween centerpiece. The Midnight Rider is saddled up... and apparently he's still looking for his head. Good thing he found a pumpkin. 🎃🐎⚔️ Happy Printing & Happy Haunting! 👻
