Thanks to Piranha771 3D scanning the ergo grip, I was able to try and trace the 3D scan. I don't have the Frame yet unfortunately so this is moreso for anyone interested in testing the trace.   If you want the original scan, I included it in the raw files or you can find it here on GIT: https://github.com/piranha771/3dscans/tree/main/steam%20frame   The controller key has been made by Chad Hendrixs and is posted on Printables! https://www.printables.com/model/1866349-steam-frame-ergonomics-kit-controller-key UPDATE 10/5/2026 - Version 2.1 Positive feedback is that V2 fits so Version 2.1 is primarily to improve print orientation so the print is better.   The key decisions here are: moving the rough bottom supported by “supports” so that it would be at the top, will move it away from the palm the bracket for the strap is with the layer line which should make it stronger but I don't have a controller to test Here you can see version 2 on the left, version 2.1 on the right and simply changing the print orientation will take away the rough edges at the bottom. Those edges protrude into the palm and is otherwise uncomfortable.   With this, the model is ready for modifications and enhancements! UPDATE 10/4/2026 - Version 2 Version 2 Raw files and Print Profile uploaded.   I started over and I retraced the ergo controller battery cover 3D scan and have also uploaded the battery cover without the ergo parts so that folks have a blank canvas if they want to modify or customize for DIY straps. All the step files and shapr3d source files are uploaded for anyone to use. Please leave your feedback and let me know if it works. Once we're able to get a “good fit” with the cover, then we can begin modifying it for DIY straps, reinforcing it, and then customizing it further for different preferences and hand sizes.   I chose the current print orientation for: Strength of the latch points Smoothness and comfort where our hand/palm is Due to this, one of the bottom edge, which isn't flat might come out a bit rough since its on top of supports. I'd recommend a bit of sanding there if you want it to be smooth. Feel free to try other orientations and let me know what works best!   The controller key has been made by Chad Hendrixs and is posted on Printables! https://www.printables.com/model/1866349-steam-frame-ergonomics-kit-controller-key ORIGINAL POST 10/3/2026 - Version 1   The tracing is of the LEFT ergo grip battery cover only. I mirrored it for RIGHT for those who want both but note that I need tests and feedback to know if it'll actually fit and that it won't protrude weirdly. Once thats done, anyone can use the raws and steps to modify for size, different straps, etc. We just need it to fit for now.   You can also find the controller OBJ file in the STEAM VR RENDER folder: \steamapps\common\SteamVR\drivers\frame_controller\resources\rendermodels\frame_controller_left   If you're looking for the full controller, you can find it Makerworld: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2002901-steam-frame-deckard-controller#profileId-2156771 Cults: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/roy-controllers-production-version-deckard-steam-frame
