Welcome back witches and wizards!   My ne halloween decoration is ready! I've wanted to make this for a long time, I think it's pretty creepy!   I have 4 creatures in a jar, preserved specimens. These are: an siamesian demon baby, an alien baby, one creepy big big and a creepy monster scorpion.   As you see I tried painting them a bit but then found that the pale white bone white PLA looks best for pale laboratory creatures, so no painting needed!   How to print?   You have three options:   Option: Just print. The creatures will swim on top in water, so they will be at the top of the jar. This is ok for quick decoration, but I rather like option 2 or 3. Option: Print hollow and use the pause to add some weights (I used some 1-cent-coins). But please note that you will need a lot, I added too few, so they would still not sink. For example the alien baby is 55,4 cm^3 in volume. So you need to add at least 55,4g of extra weight. Alternatively I drilled 2 small holes in every model, so water can enter. Then in combintion with the coins it definitely sinks and the holes look rather cool at closeup. Note: I have only tried the extra weights with a core-xy-machine. I am not sure if in A-Series printer would just shake the prints of after adding so much weight. Option: Just print in 100% Infill. Of course this will take some time and some filament, but filament has a higher density than water, so they will sink. This ist the laziest option ^^ I modified the files to they have one clear surface to print on, but you will need tree supports. I used 0.12mm layer height for great details.   What do you need?     You just need: some old jars,  water,  food color (probably any water color will work),  dish washing soap bambu lab lamp kit (linked in the parts list) Just add water to the jars and give it some color. Then add the printed creature! Please make sure the size of the creatures matches you jar openings! Of course you can scale them up or down.   So happy printing and happy halloween! Please leave some pics and comments!     Note: AI was used in the process of making these models, but still it was a lot processing in different apps and trial and error. All uploaded pictures are real pictures!
