Descripción

This is a SKÅDIS remix of Baanish's Steam Frame Wall Mount: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3369073-steam-frame-wall-mount All credit for the original idea goes to them. The headset arc, the proximity sensor cutout and the Steam logo are all from their design. I adapted it to hang on an IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard and added a spot for the rear battery. What's changed SKÅDIS mounting. It hangs on a SKÅDIS board with two small clips instead of screwing into the wall. Battery cradle. A curved tray under the headset arc holds the rear battery pack, so it doesn't dangle on the strap. The tray follows the curve of the battery pad. It's open at both ends so the strap can pass through, and a small lip at the front stops the battery sliding out. You just slide the battery in from the front. Taller back plate. The plate is extended down to hold the cradle, with a smooth outline. No supports needed. It prints flat on its back like the original. How the clips work Hooks printed onto the back of a mount normally need supports, so here they're separate clips instead. Each clip prints flat, which also makes it stronger, because the layers run along the hook instead of across it. To mount it:Hold the mount against the board with its two slots lined up with board slots. Push each clip through the mount and into the board, holding it about 5 mm higher than where it ends up. Let each clip drop so its hook catches behind the board. The head of the clip holds the mount against the board. To take it off, lift each clip and pull it out. Print settings Mount: print it flat on its back, as oriented in the file, with no supports. I used PLA, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls and 15–20% infill. Clips: print 2, flat, with no supports. Use 100% infill or lots of walls so they're solid. If a clip is tight in the board slot, a quick sand on its sides fixes it. Fits: Steam Frame headset with the stock rear battery strap, and the official IKEA SKÅDIS board (5 mm thick).
