Best for a quick, foolproof print. Option 2 – Pin Hinge (8 boxes + 8 filament pins): Lids swing on a short piece of 1.75 mm filament. It's the strongest hinge, and the lids stay attached. Best for gifts opened again and again. Option 3 – Snap-On Hinge (8 boxes, no hardware): Printed clips snap over a rod molded into each box. Hinged lids with no extra parts; they click on in seconds and pop off instead of breaking. Best for a fully printed build. Option 4 – Print-in-Place (7 boxes, zero assembly): Each box prints as one piece with the hinge already assembled, and the lids open a full 180°. Best for no assembly and wide-open lids. Bonus: a detailed middle-finger insert sized to fit the smallest box. Tip: print the smallest box first to check the fit on your printer.
