Aeolian 03 | Sculptural Pendant Lamp IKEA STRÅLA The third chapter of the Aeolian Collection slows the pattern down. Where the first two sets ran dense ridges around the shade, these use fewer, larger waves. The surface reads as folded rather than fluted, closer to fabric caught mid-movement than to carved stone. Broad curves sweep down each shade and split the light into wide soft bands instead of fine lines. Seven shapes, all sharing one surface language. The result is quieter and more sculptural, and the larger forms give the light somewhere to pool. 📦 What's Included Seven sculptural pendant shades. Three patterns come as a pair, one dense and one open, so you can run two shades that clearly relate without repeating the same surface. If you have already printed the adapter for either earlier Aeolian collection or for the fluted shades, it fits these too. Nothing extra needed. 🎨 Filament Recommendations Recommended: 👉 Bambu PLA Wood or Bambu PLA Matte Bone White The broader waves in this set reward a matte surface even more than the earlier collections. Bone White keeps the folds crisp and clean, while PLA Wood adds a warmer, more organic diffusion. On the fuzzy skin models the finish becomes part of the design, giving the surface an almost ceramic quality that suits the softer forms. 🖨 Print Profiles This collection prints in three ways, so check which shade you are printing before you slice: Four shades (Fold 01, Fold 02, Sweep 01, Sweep 02) use a 0.4 mm nozzle with 2 walls and a standard smooth finish Two shades (Drape 01, Shroud) use a 0.4 mm nozzle with fuzzy skin enabled, which is intentional and part of the look One shade (Drape 02) requires a 0.8 mm nozzle, because the overhangs in that form are too large for a finer nozzle to bridge cleanly Profiles are included for each. Slicing a fuzzy skin model on a smooth profile will work but will not look like the photos. 🔧 Assembly Tool-free, modular twist-lock system. You only need to print the adapter once per fixture. Secure the socket → insert your IKEA STRÅLA lamp holder into the printed Cylinder Socket Adapter, then lock it from the top using the original STRÅLA plastic retaining ring. Align the shade → line up the tabs at the base of the adapter with the locking ring built into the bottom of the shade. Twist to lock → turn clockwise until it clicks snugly into place. 🔗 Part of the Line Every shade I have released uses the same STRÅLA socket adapter, so the whole line is cross-compatible. Print the adapter once and swap between any shade across all five listings.
