Pull String Bat Kit Card

Back in school, we used to learn how to make moving figures using cardboard, string, and split pins—basically, old-school articulated figures. This model is based on that concept. You don't need cardboard or split pins, though you do still need a piece of string.   Step 1: Cut the parts out of the kit card. Step 2: Gently press the flat oval pieces into the recesses (a drop of glue helps keep them securely in place). Step 3: Thread a piece of string through the small holes in the bat wings. Step 4: Gently press the bat wings onto the pegs on the bat's body. Step 5: Tie a knot in the string and carefully attach the other half of the bat's body (no glue needed) Step 6: Tie the spider to the bottom of the string.   By pulling the string, you can now make the bat's wings move.
