Honda Civic EJ/EK Facelift Front Lip (1999–2000)

A 3D-printable front lip designed for the 1999–2000 Honda Civic EJ/EK facelift front bumper. The lip is split into 8 printable sections, allowing it to be printed on a relatively small build plate and assembled into one complete front lip. Print specifications Parts: 8 sections Material: ABS or ASA Estimated print time: ~37 hours Estimated filament: ~1150 g Assembly: Connecting pins + adhesive + filler Designed for: FDM 3D printing Assembly Each section includes integrated connecting-pin locations to help align the pieces during assembly. Print all 8 sections. Remove supports/brims and clean up the mating surfaces. Test-fit all sections using the connecting pins. The pins are primarily for alignment, not for providing the final structural strength. Once everything is correctly aligned, glue the sections together using ABS glue/slurry or whatever glue you prefer. Fill the joints with ABS glue, sand and apply automotive filler. Or apply filler directly, up to you. Prime, sand and paint according to your preferred automotive finishing process. Test-fit the finished lip to the Civic bumper and install it using your preferred mounting method. I heated up some screws and drove them in the lip through the bumper, that way they melt the ABS and create a thread, so you can remove it if needed. I used ~15 screws, the lip is rock solid. Important This is a large part, so dimensional accuracy depends on printer calibration, material shrinkage and printing conditions. ABS/ASA shrinkage can affect the final fit. Use glue or hair spray on your build plate if the pieces start lifting on the corners. The connecting pins are intended to make assembly easier and maintain alignment while the adhesive cures.
