AREA 51 ALIEN SPECIMEN – SUBJECT 51

👽 AREA 51 ALIEN SPECIMEN – SUBJECT 51 Some things are probably better left inside Area 51… Meet Subject 51 – Specimen A5-1 EB 007, a mysterious alien specimen designed as a creepy Halloween decoration, Sci-Fi prop and Area 51 display piece. I created this model so that you can turn a simple 3D print and an ordinary glass jar into a convincing classified laboratory specimen. The download is completely free and includes both the printable alien model and an additional Area 51 specimen label as PDF, which you can scale to fit your own jar. 🔧 ASSEMBLY After printing, I remove the supports and glue the three parts together using ordinary cyanoacrylate / super glue. A complete unsplit version of the model is also included, but I personally recommend using the three-part version. 🎨 PAINTING I first primed my model with regular acrylic primer. For the skin I mainly worked with different washes, especially reddish and bluish tones. There is no fixed color recipe here – this is a perfect model for experimenting with your own creepy alien skin tones. The large eyes were painted with black acrylic paint. Finally, I sealed the complete model with high-gloss clear coat. This gives the alien its wet, organic-looking surface and works especially well once the specimen is placed inside the jar. 🧪 THE SPECIMEN JAR For my version I used a glass jar approximately 140 mm high with an opening of around 70–75 mm. Simply place the finished alien inside the jar and fill it with water. I added a small amount of green-brown acrylic color to the water. There is no exact mixing ratio – start with only a small amount and slowly increase it until you get the look you want. I intentionally made the liquid slightly cloudy and dark. The alien should still be visible, but not perfectly clear. That makes the finished specimen much more mysterious.   Boost MeThanks for the Boost🏷️ BONUS – AREA 51 LABEL The download also includes my English Area 51 Specimen Container label as a PDF file. You can print the PDF in whatever size you need and scale it to fit your own jar. For the best effect, place the jar between completely normal household objects and wait until somebody notices that something is staring back at them.
