Flexi Egg - Flexible Fidget Toy

REQUIRES A FLEXIBLE MOSQUITO MESH ADDED DURING A PAUSE IN THE PRINT. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS 😊   Sometimes the best designs come from happy accidents. This oversized, flexible egg was originally born while I was prototyping fried eggs for my Farm Fresh Eggs Play Set.   It turned out to be far too large to fit in alongside the realistically sized eggs, but the satisfying, floppy movement made it an absolute hit as a standalone fidget toy!   With its unique hexagonal surface pattern, it offers an amazing tactile feel and bends smoothly in your hands.   Flexible Mesh: To achieve the flexibility, a light polyester flyscreen mesh must be added mid-print. The print profile includes a pause for this step. Lay the mesh down flat and use painter's tape to pull all four edges taut. Do not use magnets to hold the mesh, as the print head may collide with them. Carefully monitor the first layer over the mesh.     Recommended Mesh: Avoid standard, thick flyscreen mesh as it is too rigid, limits bending, and increases the risk of nozzle collisions. Use a white, thin mosquito mesh/netting. I used this one: Amazon Link.   Crucial Slicer Settings: My provided print profiles include modified filament settings to accommodate the mesh. If you create your own profile or alter these settings, you must do the following in Bambu Studio: Click the edit icon (the three dots inside a circle) next to the filament name. Go to the Setting Overrides tab. Set Z hop when retract to 0.6. Change Z hop type to Normal. (This extended Z-hop reduces the risk of the nozzle colliding with the mesh).   Enjoy your new flexible, floppy fidget egg!
