Creepy Scarecrow Bust – Halloween 3D Print

I created this Creepy Scarecrow Bust as a detailed Halloween display piece and, above all, as a fun project for painting, weathering and post-processing. With its stitched sack face, damaged clothing, rough fabric textures, ropes, wooden details and sickle, the model offers plenty of surfaces for techniques such as washes, drybrushing, highlighting and weathering. The finished bust measures approximately: 255 × 190 × 120 mm 10.0 × 7.5 × 4.7 in It works great as a Halloween decoration for a desk, shelf, windowsill or display cabinet. ⚠️ Challenging Print Please note: This is not a beginner-friendly print. The model contains complex shapes, overhangs and detailed surfaces and requires supports even when using the pre-cut version. If you are looking for a simple “press print and forget” model, this probably isn't the right project. However, if you enjoy challenging prints, support removal, cleanup, assembly and painting, this model can be a very rewarding project. Included Files I provide both an uncut version and a pre-cut version. The download includes: STL files Complete uncut model Pre-cut parts Body / Bust Base Head Sickle Prepared 3MF file with my print settings The separated version makes printing, support removal, assembly and especially painting much easier. Pre-Cut Version – Recommended For most users I recommend using the pre-cut version together with the included 3MF profile. With my settings, the complete project takes approximately: Print Time: ~11 hours Filament: ~220 g Splitting the model into separate parts significantly reduces both print time and material consumption compared with printing the complete model in one piece. Uncut Version For anyone who prefers printing the model as one complete object, I have also included the original uncut STL. Using approximately the same settings: Print Time: ~14 hours 30 minutes Filament: ~316 g The uncut version is considerably more demanding regarding support structures and material usage. Assembly The separated parts are designed to be assembled after printing. I recommend using: Cyanoacrylate / Super Glue Before gluing, test-fit the individual pieces and remove any remaining support material from the connecting surfaces. Painting & Post-Processing This model was specifically designed with painting and finishing in mind. There are many pronounced textures throughout the model: rough fabric stitched seams ropes damaged clothing wood sack texture sickle details deep folds and recesses These surfaces work especially well with: Washes • Drybrushing • Weathering • Edge Highlights You can keep the paint job relatively simple and still achieve a lot of depth because the sculpted textures already do much of the work. A1 Mini A dedicated A1 Mini profile is not included. However, the model can also be printed on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini by scaling it down until the individual parts fit within the available build volume. Keep in mind that reducing the scale will also reduce some of the smallest surface details. Important The displayed model is a real printed version of the files included in this download. Because this is a relatively demanding print, your support settings, filament, cooling and printer calibration can influence the final result. Take your time with support removal — especially around the face, clothing and smaller details.
