Saint Francis of Assisi (Saints on the Shelf)

Overview Saint Francis has found a peaceful place to sit, preferably somewhere with a good view of the birds. This 55 mm tall shelf-sitting figure features Saint Francis of Assisi in his traditional Franciscan robe, designed with his legs hanging naturally over the edge of a shelf, desk, mantel, or display ledge. Part of my Saints on the Shelf Collection, this series gives traditional saints a fun display format without losing the details and symbols that make each saint recognizable. History of Saint Francis Saint Francis of Assisi (1181/1182–1226) was an Italian Catholic friar who founded the Franciscan Order. Known for his humility, simplicity, and love of nature, he dedicated his life to serving the poor and caring for all of God's creation. He is the patron saint of animals and ecology and is often depicted wearing a simple brown robe, sometimes accompanied by birds or other animals. His feast day is celebrated on October 4. Supports & Removal Notes This model contains small details that require extra care during support removal. Be particularly careful around the hands, arms, and any small decorative details. Remove supports slowly to avoid damaging delicate features. A 0.2 mm nozzle is recommended for capturing the finer details at this size. A properly tuned 0.4 mm nozzle can also produce a good print. Saint Francis loved all creatures, but support trees probably weren't among them. Remove those carefully. Important Notes This model is intended as a decorative display piece, not a toy. Because the figure is designed to sit on an edge, check that it is stable before placing it on a high shelf or somewhere it could easily be bumped.
