I love to see everyone's prints! Corpse Bride is Tim Burton's 2005 stop-motion masterpiece, co-directed with Mike Johnson and set in a gorgeously gothic Victorian-era world. The story follows Victor Van Dort, a nervous young groom who accidentally proposes to the wrong bride while practicing his wedding vows in the woods — awakening Emily, the titular Corpse Bride, who whisks him away to the vibrant, jazzy Land of the Dead while his real fiancée Victoria waits for him in the drab, colorless world of the living. Featuring the voices of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Emily Watson, along with songs by Danny Elfman, the film flips the usual horror tropes on their head — the Land of the Dead is full of color, music, and warmth, while the living world is cold and rigid.
