Flexible Egg Play Set - Farm Fresh Eggs

  Encourage imaginative play with the Farm Fresh Eggs playset! This set has been meticulously designed and refined through several iterations, extensive prototyping, and real-world playtesting to ensure it delivers an engaging, creative play experience for kids. From cracking open the magnetic eggshells to cooking up a uniquely flexible fried egg, this set is packed with interactive features.   What’s Included & Print Instructions 1. The Egg Carton Design: Features a print-in-place hinge and embeds 2x 10x3mm magnets during a print pause to securely snap the lid shut. Printing: Print profiles are provided for standard Bambu printers and the A1 Mini. Available versions include 5-colour, 4-colour, and a no-AMS, no-logo version. Supports: The lid requires a single tree support for the lip, which is already pre-configured in all provided profiles. Assembly (Hinge): The hinge components print in place. Cut a short piece of filament, align the hinges, and slide the filament through. Using a lighter, carefully heat one end and squash it flat so it cannot push back through. Trim the other side close to the edge, heat, and squash. (Caution: Please be extremely careful when working with lighters and heat).   2. The Egg Shells Design: Crackable eggs! Each egg prints in halves and uses magnets to snap together. Printing: 100% support-free. Standard and A1 Mini profiles are included. The print includes a pause to embed a total of eight 10x3mm magnets. Note: Not all magnets are made equal; you want magnets that are strong enough to hold but won't pinch little fingers.   3. The Flexible Fried Egg !!REQUIRES FLEXIBLE MOSQUITO MESH. DO NOT PRINT WITHOUT!! Read below for instructions. Design: A highly realistic, flexible fried egg that bends and flops just like the real thing! Versions Available: Print profiles are included for both AMS and No-AMS setups. Flexible Mesh: To achieve the flexibility, a light polyester flyscreen mesh must be added mid-print. Both profiles include a pause for this step. Lay the mesh down flat and use painter's tape to pull all four edges taut. Do not use magnets to hold the mesh, as the print head may collide with them. Carefully monitor the first layer over the mesh.     No-AMS Version: This profile includes a second pause after the mesh is embedded so you can manually swap to yellow filament for the yolk. Recommended Mesh: Avoid standard, thick flyscreen mesh as it is too rigid, limits bending, and increases the risk of nozzle collisions. Use a white, thin mosquito mesh/netting. I used this one: Amazon Link. Crucial Slicer Settings: My provided print profiles include modified filament settings to accommodate the mesh. If you create your own profile or alter these settings, you must do the following in Bambu Studio:Click the edit icon (the three dots inside a circle) next to the filament name. Go to the Setting Overrides tab. Set Z hop when retract to 0.6. Change Z hop type to Normal. (This extended Z-hop reduces the risk of the nozzle colliding with the mesh). 4. The Frying Pan Design: A perfectly sized pan for cooking up the eggs. Printing: Standard and A1 Mini profiles are provided. Prints easily with pre-configured supports under the handle.   Hardware Required Magnets: Ten 10x3mm neodymium magnets (2 for the carton, 8 for the eggshells). Mesh: Light polyester flyscreen mesh (for the fried egg). I used this one: Amazon Link.   A Quick Note on Magnets & Polarity Always double-check your magnet polarity before resuming your prints! It helps to mark the top of your magnets with a sharpie beforehand to ensure your eggshells and carton snap together correctly instead of repelling each other.   Recommended Age: 5+ This toy contains small parts and magnets that present a choking hazard. Please take caution, as the nature of 3D printing means parts could potentially break off or magnets could become dislodged.
