Docobots: Jamurai

ASSEMBLY     TRANSFORMATION   I had decided that I wanted to make a Docobot transform into a bottle or jar, so I started to play around with separating a lid into pieces. I connected the pieces by print-in-place hinges and was able to turn a lid into a Jingasa fairly easy. Once I had that, Jamurai came together pretty quickly. I tried to make the knives look like small butter knives, and I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't have enough room for them inside the jar, but I'm very happy with the way everything turned out. Single Nozzle vs Multi Nozzle ‘glass jar’ variant There are two versions of this model and so there will be two profiles. One profile is suggested for multi nozzle printers and the other profile will be suggested for single nozzle printers. The version you see in the model cover photo and used in the videos is the multi nozzle profile version, and it includes the ‘glass jar’ look by adding clear PETG to the outside of the jar. That version significantly increases both the time and filament waste when printing with a single nozzle machine like the A1. Because of this, it is recommended that users with a single nozzle machine, print the single nozzle version, which is the same bot, just without the ‘glass jar’ look. You can see the single nozzle version in the model photos. NOTES Right now, there are only video guides, but photo guides will be coming soon. Sockets will need to be glued in place before assembly. There are sockets 19 in total. Included in both profiles is the same socket tool that was used in Fudgement Day, to help insert the sockets.
