Overview Saint Anthony is officially on the shelf, and for once, that’s a good thing. This 55 mm tall shelf-sitting figure features Saint Anthony holding the Child Jesus, designed with his legs hanging naturally over the edge of a shelf, desk, mantel, or display ledge. Part of my Saints on the Shelf Collection, this series gives traditional saints a fun display format without losing the details and symbols that make each saint recognizable. History of Saint Anthony Saint Anthony of Padua (1195–1231) was a Portuguese Franciscan friar and priest renowned for his preaching and knowledge of Scripture. He is traditionally depicted holding the Child Jesus and is widely known as the patron saint of lost things. So if your missing 10 mm socket suddenly turns up after printing him, I’m taking no credit. Size & Placement Approximately 55 mm tall Designed to sit on the edge of a shelf or ledge Legs hang naturally below the sitting surface Great for shelves, desks, mantels, and display areas Make sure the sitting surface is deep and stable enough to support the figure Supports & Removal Notes There are several small and delicate details around the Child Jesus, hands, flowers, and clothing. Remove supports slowly and carefully, especially around these areas. Pulling supports off aggressively can take small details along for the ride. For maximum detail at this size, a 0.2 mm nozzle is recommended. A properly tuned 0.4 mm nozzle can also produce a good print. Important Notes This model is intended as a decorative display piece, not a toy. Because the figure is designed to sit on an edge, always check that it is stable before placing it on a high shelf or somewhere it could easily be bumped.
