HYPER HOPPER 🦘 - Reflex & Fidget Training Toy Click, spin, drop and back it hops! HYPER HOPPER is a magical 3D printed device that will train your reflexes as it jumps right back into your hand the moment you drop it! ⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: BACK UP! LOOK OUT! Hyper Hopper's tightly looped elastic may propel it UP TO SIX FEET INTO THE AIR in an instant when dropped, and WILL take you by surprise! Please pop from a distance and do not squeeze or tightly grip when the mechanism is clicked as it may pinch. Ages 10 and up. 💡 Print Settings & Filament Guide To ensure proper performance, the hopper's connections must print completely solid with no hollow areas or voids that may cause breakage! Material: PLA PETG). Recommended Filaments: Bambu PLA Basic / PLA Tough, Polymaker PLA, Anycubic PLA+, Elegoo PLA Pro, Overture PLA+. Nozzle: 0.4 mm Layer Height: 0.16 mm Walls: 3 – 4 Supports: OFF Elephant foot compensation: 0.26 (optional, for smoother elastic contact surfaces) 🛠️ Assembly & Elastics How to Assemble: Assembly is easy, but joints can be stiff at first! Find a pressure tool (like a spoon handle or a flathead screwdriver) and watch the assembly technique: fold a connector between 2 disks, angle it into the hole, hold the disks with one hand, place the tool under the disk over the loose connector, and leverage/squeeze it into place. Elastics:We love number 33 black rubber bands for their long-life performance. Wrapped 3-4 times, it hops 3-4 feet. Wrapped 4-5 times, it can hop up to 6 feet! You may also use number 32 elastics (wound one time less than a 33). Elastic performance will vary, try a few types and adjust loop counts if need be. 🔄 Drop & Hop (Break-in & Troubleshooting) Break-in Period: A new Hopper needs you to play with it! It starts out stiff, and using the mechanism will greatly improve its hops the more you click and pop! Auto-Pop Issue: Auto-pop happens when there is too little friction in the mechanism (often caused by slippery PLA recipes or under-extrusion).Solutions: Run a flow calibration and use the "tighter joints" STL file provided if you are using finicky filaments. Quick Fix: Click the Hopper flat, then press the centre rings together firmly on a table or flat surface. Squeezing/flattening the rings won't break it and will help compress the contact surfaces. Happy printing, and enjoy the high hops!
