A stylish sitting cat statue with an elegant elongated shape, curled tail and a hammered-metal surface that catches the light from every angle. The open centre holds a separate heart pendant, adding movement and a contrasting colour to the design. I printed the cat in bronze silk PLA and the heart in silver silk PLA to create the appearance of a handcrafted metal sculpture. The silk finish works especially well with the hammered texture, producing changing highlights across the surface and making the print resemble a decorative metal sculpture. No painting is required to achieve this effect—simply choose a metallic or silk filament.
