Universal Drone Cooling Pad (FPV, DJI & RC) Never overheat your video transmitters (VTX), flight controllers, or DJI electronics during bench setups again! When setting up Betaflight, configuring ELRS, or updating firmware on DJI Mini / Mavic / Avata drones on your desk, the lack of natural prop-wash quickly causes components to dangerously overheat. This Universal Drone Cooling Pad provides continuous, direct forced-air cooling through a high-flow honeycomb grill, keeping your gear ice cold while you work. ✨ Features & Highlights Active Cooling Protection: Prevents VTX throttling, overheating warnings, and thermal damage. Universal Compatibility: Sized perfectly for 2–5" FPV quads, Tiny Whoops, and commercial drones (DJI Mini 3/4/5 series, Mavic, etc.). Clean Desk Setup: Integrated mounting for a DC jack and power rocker switch for quick 1-click operation. Optimized Airflow: Hexagonal honeycomb mesh maximizes airflow while providing a stable, level resting surface. Easy Print: 2-part enclosure designed for minimal to zero supports and strong layer adhesion. 🛠️ Hardware & Assembly Instructions To complete this build, you will need the following hardware: 120mm Fan: Standard PC cooling fan (120 x 120 x 25 mm) – 5V or 12V depending on your power supply. DC Power Jack: Standard DC 5.5 x 2.1 mm panel mount socket. Power Switch: Standard rectangular snap-in rocker switch (SPST). Fasteners & Assembly:The fan mounts securely onto built-in alignment posts/pins in the base, no screws needed for the fan itself. IMPORTANT: You must install 4x M3 brass heat-set threaded inserts into the main body before assembly. A soldering iron is required to heat and press them in. 4x M3x6 screws are needed to secure the bottom cover to the main body by threading them into the installed inserts. The feet are designed to be printed. To prevent the pad from sliding on your desk and to dampen vibration, it is highly recommended to apply a piece of adhesive rubber or non-slip material to the bottom of the printed feet. 🖨️ Recommended Print Settings Material: PLA, PLA+, or PETG (PETG recommended for workshop heat resistance). Layer Height: 0.20 mm (Standard). Infill: 15–20% (Gyroid or Grid). Walls/Perimeters: 3–4 walls for screw boss strength. Supports: None / minimal depending on overhang orientation.
