Thermoformed Bell Mold I designed this model as a simple and accessible way to create bell-shaped decorative pieces using 3D printing and thermoforming. The project was originally created because I could not find a similar design available on 3D model platforms. The idea is to combine 3D-printed PETG components with a PLA template that can be heated and formed over the mold. The design is particularly suitable for Christmas and holiday decorations, but it can also be used for DIY projects, crafts, prototypes, school projects, and other creative applications. Recommended materials: Mold: PETG Base: PETG Thermoforming template: PLA Thermoforming process: Print the mold and base using PETG. Print the thermoforming template using PLA. Place the PLA template on the base and mold. Heat the PLA directly with a heat gun. Once the PLA becomes flexible, form it over the PETG mold. Hold it in position while it cools. Remove the finished thermoformed piece. The exact heating temperature and time will depend on the PLA filament, sheet thickness, heat gun, and working conditions. I recommend testing the process with a small piece of material first. The model is intentionally flexible regarding printing parameters, allowing users to adapt the settings to their own printer and materials. ⚠️ Safety: The thermoforming process involves heated plastic and a heat gun. Use appropriate protective equipment and work in a safe, well-ventilated environment. If you make a bell using this model, I would love to see your results!
