Thank you for supporting my designs! 💙🔵 Pop Switch Fidget — Print-in-Place The Pop Switch Fidget is a compact and satisfying print-in-place fidget built around a simple popping switch mechanism. Press one side down and the other side pops up, creating a satisfying back-and-forth tactile motion that you can keep clicking again and again. The complete mechanism is printed as one piece, so there are no screws, magnets, glue, or assembly required. It’s perfect as a desk fidget, pocket fidget, small gift, or quick print when you want something fun without using much filament. ✨ Features Fully print-in-place Satisfying pop/switch action No assembly required No additional hardware Compact and easy to carry Great as a desk or pocket fidget Quick and lightweight print Easy to make in lots of different colors ⚡ Fast & Lightweight The Pop Switch Fidget takes approximately 28 minutes to print and uses only around 9 grams of filament. That makes it great for using small amounts of leftover filament, experimenting with different colors, or printing several at once. 🧵 Recommended Filament For the best click, spring action, and long-term durability, I recommend using: ✅ PLA Basic / Standard PLA ✅ PETG Basic / Standard PETG These materials provide a good balance of flexibility and strength, helping the spring maintain its tension and satisfying click for longer. ⚠️ PLA Matte and PLA Silk are not recommended. These materials can be more brittle than standard PLA, especially around thin spring sections. The spring may also lose tension and become loose faster after repeated use. For the best overall result and longest-lasting mechanism, stick with normal PLA Basic or PETG Basic. 🖨️ Printing Tips Because this is a print-in-place mechanism, good print quality will help everything move smoothly. Use a well-calibrated printer Make sure your first layer is clean and consistent Use normal PLA or PETG settings suitable for your printer No assembly or extra hardware is required ❄️ Let It Cool First! Once the print finishes, leave it on the build plate for around 5–10 minutes before removing it. This is especially important for the spring. Allowing the model to cool properly helps prevent the spring from deforming while the plastic is still warm and helps it maintain its tension. 👆 First Click May Be Stiff The first few clicks may be harder than normal — this is expected! The small toggle parts can be slightly tight straight off the build plate and may need a little extra force on the first click to break them loose. Once the mechanism has been clicked a few times, the moving parts should free up and the switch should become much smoother and easier to use. Make sure the model has fully cooled before doing this, as forcing the mechanism while it is still warm could deform the spring. 🎨 Print It Your Way The Pop Switch Fidget looks great in loads of different colors, and at only around 9 g per print, it’s easy to create a whole collection. Standard PLA colors are especially good if you want the best combination of appearance, click feel, and durability. 📦 Model Info ⏱️ Print time: ~28 minutes ⚖️ Filament: ~9 g 🔧 Assembly: None 🖨️ Design: Print-in-place 🔩 Extra hardware: None 🧵 Recommended: PLA Basic / PETG Basic If you print one, be sure to share your Make 📸 — I’d love to see the colors you choose!
