A little sausage bun with double the Clicky fun! 🌭🥖 Clicky Bread – Hong Kong Sausage Bun is a cute fidget toy inspired by the classic sausage buns commonly found in Hong Kong bakeries. The soft bread wraps around the sausage in its familiar bakery-style shape — but this Clicky Bread hides a little surprise on both sides. The two exposed sausage pieces are not just part of the design. Each one works as an independent Clicky button powered by its own MX-style mechanical keyboard switch. Press either side and enjoy a satisfying click with springy feedback. It works as a fun desk fidget toy, a cute Hong Kong bakery-inspired collectible, or a small keychain to carry with you. Features Double the Click! This Clicky Bread uses two MX switches, one on each side of the bread bun. Each exposed sausage works as its own independent button, so you can press the left side, the right side, or alternate between both. Unlike the previous Clicky Bread designs that are mainly pressed from the top, this model introduces a completely different side-to-side interaction. The Sausages Are the Buttons One of the most distinctive features of this model is that the interactive parts are built directly into the food design. The exposed sausages are already one of the most recognizable features of this classic Hong Kong bakery bun, so instead of adding separate buttons, they become the Clicky controls themselves. This keeps the model visually simple while making the interaction feel naturally connected to the food. Inspired by Hong Kong Bakery Sausage Buns Sausage buns are a familiar item in Hong Kong bakeries, typically made by wrapping soft bread dough around a sausage. Their rounded bread shape and exposed sausage ends give them a look that is different from a typical hot dog bun or sausage roll. This model keeps that recognizable wrapped-bread appearance and turns it into a playful Clicky Bread design. Standard and Keychain Versions Included The download includes two versions: Standard Version – designed as a desk fidget toy, decoration, or collectible. Keychain Version – uses a Bread Bun with an integrated keychain attachment point so you can carry your Clicky Bread with you. Both versions use the same sausage parts and the same two-switch Clicky mechanism. The main difference is the Bread Bun. Please note that keychain hardware is not included in the printable files and must be prepared separately. Separate Parts for Easy Color Printing The model is divided into separate printable parts: Bread Bun Bread Bun – Keychain Version 2× Sausages The bread and sausages can be printed in different colors, making it easy to create a clear color contrast without additional painting. A multi-color printing system is not required. The parts can be printed separately and assembled afterward. How the Clicky Mechanism Works The model uses a symmetrical two-sided Clicky structure: Sausage → MX Switch → Bread Bun ← MX Switch ← Sausage Each sausage connects to its own MX-style switch. This means the two sides work independently, giving the model two separate Clicky press points instead of a single central button. Please refer to the assembly and exploded-view images on the model page for the correct switch orientation and installation direction. Additional Parts Required This model requires: 2× compatible MX-style mechanical keyboard switches Keychain hardware if you want to build the keychain version The mechanical switches and keychain hardware are not included with the printable model files. Using the same type of switch on both sides is recommended for a more consistent pressing feel. Printing Notes The Bread Bun and Sausages are separate parts and can be printed in different colors. For a classic Hong Kong bakery-style appearance, you can try: Bread Bun: golden yellow, warm cream, or baked brown Sausages: red, reddish brown, or deep pink Keeping the sausages visually different from the bread helps make the two Clicky buttons easy to recognize.
