A corner version of my self-draining sink organizer, designed to make better use of the unused space around the kitchen sink. This model was designed to hold detergent, sponges, brushes, cutlery, and other everyday sink-side accessories while keeping the countertop organized and helping everything dry faster. Unlike a traditional rectangular organizer, this version uses an L-shaped corner design, providing a large storage area while fitting naturally around the corner of the sink. The upper basket features a honeycomb-style ventilated structure, allowing air to circulate around wet sponges, brushes, and utensils. Water passes through the perforated basket into the lower section, where it is collected and automatically guided toward the sink through the integrated self-draining plate. No need to manually empty a water tray. [IMAGE / GIF – Self-draining system] Corner Design The L-shaped layout was created to take advantage of an area that normally remains unused or for a round sink It provides plenty of room for: Detergent bottles Sponges and scrubbers Dish brushes Cutlery Cleaning accessories Other sink-side items The open center keeps access to the sink clear while the organizer extends along both sides of the corner. Self-Draining System Water coming from wet sponges, brushes, or utensils passes through the honeycomb base and reaches the lower drainage area. The sloped drain plate then directs the water automatically back into the sink. This helps prevent standing water inside the organizer and keeps the countertop cleaner and drier. Optional feet. The model also includes optional feet. These can be used when the sink edge sits higher than the countertop, allowing the organizer to be raised so the drain plate can direct water straight into the sink. If your sink is flush with the countertop, the feet are not necessary. Ventilated Honeycomb Basket The entire upper section uses a honeycomb structure designed to: Improve airflow Allow water to escape quickly Help sponges and brushes dry faster Reduce unnecessary material Keep the organizer lightweight while maintaining good rigidity Modular Design The organizer is made from separate parts, making it easier to print, assemble and clean. The upper basket fits into the main lower structure, while the drain plate can be removed whenever necessary. No glue or screws are required. This also makes it much easier to wash the individual components compared with a single-piece organizer. Assembly Fit the upper honeycomb basket into the lower base. Install the drain plate in the front opening. Position the organizer in the corner next to your sink. Adjust the drain plate so that its end extends over the sink. Add your detergent, sponges, brushes and utensils. That's it. No glue, screws or tools required. Printing For use around a kitchen sink, PETG is recommended because it handles moisture, water and everyday kitchen use better than standard PLA. PLA can also be used, but PETG is the preferred option for long-term use in a wet environment. The honeycomb construction also reduces material usage compared with completely solid walls while keeping the basket strong. Why I designed it I wanted an organizer that could use the corner next to the sink instead of occupying another large rectangular area of the countertop. The result is a larger corner sink organizer with automatic drainage, good ventilation and enough space to keep the things normally scattered around the sink together in one place. Simple, functional and easy to print. New in House of Things:
