Your membership also helps support future releases, testing, and new creations.A Prehistoric Halloween Adventure Apparently being extinct doesn't mean you have to miss Halloween. 🦖👻🎃   Meet Pumpkin Rex, an adorable T-Rex who has traded prehistoric terror for a ghost costume, a jack-o'-lantern candy bucket, and one very important mission:   Trick-or-treating.   This whimsical multi-part Halloween sculpture features a cheerful T-Rex dressed in his very own ghost costume, complete with a huge toothy grin, tiny dinosaur arms, chunky claws, expressive eyes, and a pumpkin bucket ready to be filled with treats.   Once assembled, Pumpkin Rex stands approximately 150 mm tall, making him the perfect size for a desk, shelf, mantel, or as another character in your Halloween display. 👻 Who Invited the Dinosaur? Pumpkin Rex may look intimidating at first glance, but this little guy is definitely more interested in candy than carnage.   His ghost costume drapes over his dinosaur body while leaving his enormous snout, tiny arms, powerful legs, and tail poking through. His jack-o'-lantern candy bucket completes the costume, while another pumpkin rests at his feet on a chunky rocky base.   And because those tiny T-Rex arms probably aren't very good at holding a sheet...   We'll give him extra credit for trying. 🧩 A Fun Multi-Part Build Pumpkin Rex is a true multi-part model, with the components separated to make printing, customization, and coloring easier.   Unlike some of my snap-together Halloween scenes, glue is required to assemble this model.   Several details are intentionally printed as individual components, including the: Individual teeth Hand claws Foot claws Eyes Arms Pumpkin candy bucket Additional small details Separating these pieces allows them to print more cleanly while also giving you far more control over the colors of the finished model. 🦷 Teeth, Claws & Tiny Parts — Dry Fit First! Pumpkin Rex has quite a collection of little pieces.   Before gluing any of the teeth or claws, I highly recommend positioning each piece first and making sure you know exactly where you want it.   Dry fit first. Glue second.   Once you're happy with the placement, remove the piece, add a very small drop of glue, and reinstall it.   The same approach works well throughout the model.   Putting all of those individual teeth into place takes a little patience, but there's something incredibly satisfying about watching that enormous goofy dinosaur grin appear one tooth at a time.   Take your time with this one—the assembly is part of the fun! 👀 AMS Is Only Required for the Eyes One of my goals with Pumpkin Rex was to separate as much of the model as reasonably possible so you aren't dependent on an AMS to create a colorful finished sculpture.   An AMS is only needed for the multicolor eyes. The eye details are simply too small to reliably split into additional physical components. The fun part is that this also gives you the opportunity to create your own expression. Change the position of the pupils and Pumpkin Rex can be looking straight ahead, staring at his candy bucket, glancing sideways, or giving someone a suspicious look because they got the bigger candy bar. No AMS? You can also print the eyes in a single color and add the smaller details with paint or acrylic markers. 🎨 Make Pumpkin Rex Your Own The model shown uses a bright green dinosaur with a white ghost costume, orange pumpkins, white teeth, dark claws, a red mouth, and a dark rocky base—but that's only one possibility.   Because the model is separated into so many individual parts, mixing and matching filament colors is incredibly easy.   Try a purple Rex, glow-in-the-dark ghost costume, black-and-orange Halloween theme, pastel color palette, metallic claws, or completely different colors for the candy.   Glow-in-the-dark filament for the ghost costume would be especially fun on this one.   This is also a great project for using some of those partially finished filament spools sitting around your print area. 🍬 Don't Forget His Halloween Haul Of course, Pumpkin Rex couldn't go trick-or-treating without his pumpkin candy bucket.   The little candy pieces inside give you another opportunity to add pops of color to the finished sculpture. Print them all one color or create a colorful assortment.   After all, Pumpkin Rex survived 66 million years to get here.   The least we can do is give him some candy. 🔧 Assembly Tips This model isn't intended to be a one-piece print-and-done project. Watching Pumpkin Rex come together is part of the experience.   I recommend laying out all of your printed pieces before beginning assembly. Start with the larger components and work your way toward the smaller details.   Save the teeth, claws, eyes, and other tiny pieces until you're comfortable with how everything fits together.   A few important tips: Dry fit everything before applying glue. Use only a small drop of glue on tiny components. Position all teeth and claws before permanently attaching them. Work slowly around the mouth and hands. Keep the small pieces organized during assembly. Don't rush it! This is the method I used for assembly: Top teeth first (let dry) Bottom teeth (let dry) Tongue (let dry) Eyes into sheet (let dry) Claws on each hand (let dry) Claws on each foot (let dry) Arms into each side of the sheet (let dry) Insert head into sheet then sheet onto bottom half/legs (let dry) Insert small pumpkin onto base Insert feet into pegs on the base Insert candy into pumpkin Attach pumpkin to hand (drop of glue hand and attach to handle - hold for a minute to make sure it sticks) There are quite a few small components, but if you're patient and enjoy the assembly process, the finished Pumpkin Rex is absolutely worth it.   🎃 Welcome Pumpkin Rex to the Halloween Collection!
