Wolverine Claws – Life-Size Wearable Prop Unleash your inner Wolverine! 😈 I designed these claws with one simple goal: to create a life-size, wearable and clean-looking model, without a bulky handle visible inside the hand. The holding system is integrated directly into the model and fits around the fingers and into the palm. Once you close your fist, most of the mechanism is hidden by your hand, giving the impression that the claws are coming directly out from between your fingers. Several prototypes were made to refine the shape, length, spacing and position of the claws, until I achieved a result that looks impressive while remaining comfortable to wear. 🐺 Right & Left Hands Included The 3MF file contains both versions: Plate 01: Right Hand Plate 02: Left Hand Each hand prints as one complete piece, including all three claws and the integrated holding system. Both plates are already correctly oriented and the required supports are configured. Open the 3MF, choose the hand you want, and hit Print. 😁 Once printed, simply remove the supports and put the claws on. No glue, screws, magnets or additional parts required. 📏 Dimensions & Sizing At 100% scale, the claws are approximately 28 cm (11 in) long. The model was designed and tested on my own hand. I normally wear XL gloves, so 100% scale should be considered the reference size for an XL hand. Since everyone's hands and fingers are different, the following values can be used as a starting point: Usual glove sizeSuggested scaleS85%M90%L95%XL100%⚠️ These values are only approximate. Hand proportions and glove sizing can vary between people and manufacturers. Keep in mind that scaling the model also changes the size of the finger openings. 💡 Tip: If you need a size other than 100%, use the Cut tool in Bambu Studio to print only a small section containing the finger openings first. This allows you to quickly test the fit before printing the entire model. 🖨️ Printing For one complete hand: Print time: approximately 2 h 49 min Filament: approximately 60.57 g Layer height: 0.16 mm Walls: 4 Infill: 22% Gyroid Top layers: 5 Bottom layers: 3 Supports: Tree supports, build plate only Raft: None The included 3MF profile is already fully prepared, including orientation, print settings and supports. The models shown in the photos were printed using this profile, so if you want the same result, the easiest option is simply to use the provided 3MF file as-is. ✨ Recommended Filament The model shown in the photos was printed using Geeetech Shiny Silk Silver PLA. Its bright metallic finish works particularly well on the long surfaces and edges of the claws and gives them a great metallic appearance straight off the printer. No painting is required, although the model can of course be sanded and painted if you prefer a different or more realistic finish. ⚠️ Safety This is a 3D-printed plastic cosplay prop, not a weapon. However, the claws are almost 30 cm (12 in) long and the tips are very sharp. Please handle them carefully. Do not strike anyone with the claws, and never point or push them toward the face or eyes of another person or animal. This model is intended for cosplay, display and photography purposes only.
