Boost MeWant more wearable cosplay??? BOOST THIS MODEL so I can quit my job and make this kinda fun stuff full time!  And follow me on Instagram for more EVERY DAY!  : )Royal Raven Pauldron Note: This piece is currently a static part and is not designed to move, but I might make it articulate in the near future so it's easier to wear and move in! Detailed Description of the Model This striking, highly detailed Royal Raven Pauldron is a masterclass in organic mechanical design, combining a menacing avian head with layered feather plating that flows seamlessly down the arm. Designed specifically for cosplay enthusiasts and fantasy armor collectors, the piece features structural channels and interlocking segments optimized for seamless multi-part printing.   Since this is an armor piece that requires proper body fitting, make sure to size your gear accurately using my custom Cosplay Calipers Measuring Tool. For a comprehensive walkthrough on downloading, scaling, slicing, printing, and assembling multi-part wearable pieces, check out my complete video guide: How to 3D Print Cosplay Armor: Download, Scale, Slice, Print & Assemble. Furthermore, because multi-colored aesthetic prints look best when properly configured, you can learn how to remesh and color prints effectively by watching my tutorial on How to Remesh and Color Prints in Bambu Studio and/or Snapmaker U1. Functional Use & Assembly This pauldron is worn on the shoulder to elevate any dark fantasy, druidic, rogue, or post-apocalyptic costume. Because large armor pieces require robust structural bonding, assembly requires gluing the primary segmented plates together. For the ultimate holding power, I recommend using ARKA KRAFTPROTZ UNIVERSAL Superglue. Additionally, for maximum structural rigidity across the large backing plates, this build benefits greatly from hot metal staples; you can grab the exact tool I use via this Plastic Welding Kit Link. If you don't know what a plastic welder is, or how to use one, check out this quick Instagram Video of Me Using a Plastic Welding Kit in real time! Filament & Material Recommendations To achieve the ideal balance of rigidity for the avian structure and flexibility/durability for the overlapping feather plates, I recommend printing this model using top-tier filaments from our sponsor, SUNLU. For the primary dark skeletal elements and sleek feathers, use SUNLU Standard PLA Black or SUNLU Silk PLA for an incredible sheen. For the vibrant accent feathers, SUNLU PLA Violet/Magenta or high-visibility colors will make your build pop. If you plan on taking this to crowded conventions where durability is key, printing the structural base plates in SUNLU PETG is an exceptional choice. History & Inspiration Born from a fascination with dark avian mythology, stylized raptor aesthetics, and tribal ornamentation, this design bridges the gap between natural predator motifs and high-fantasy wearable art. It serves as a nod to mystic shamans, shadow stalkers, and plague-doctor archetypes found across classic and modern gaming lore. Remixing & Alternative Applications The modular nature of this sculpt opens up numerous avenues for cross-genre modifications and remixes. Keywords and concepts for your own remixes include: Fantasy Druid Headdress: Adapt the top avian head and crown feathers into an imposing ceremonial headpiece or ritual crown. Staff Finial or Polearm Topper: Scale down the raven head assembly to top a wizard staff, magical sceptre, or ritual spear. Chest Plate Centerpiece: Extract the central avian torso plates to mount directly onto a leather harness or chest rig. Cyberpunk / Mercenary Tech Visor: Integrate digital HUD visors, tactical straps, or cable management channels into the avian eye sockets. Wildlife & Tribal Talismans: Scale down the individual feather components to craft smaller shoulder guards, forearm bracers, or decorative talisman beads. Steampunk Aviator Shoulder Guard: Add brass gears, copper tubing elements, and leather straps to merge mechanical aviation with dark nature. Gothic Wall Plaque or Trophy Mount: Back the shoulder plate with a wooden plaque mount to create a striking taxidermy-style gothic wall decoration. Lantern Hanger / Wall Sconce: Hollow out portions of the head and extend a bracket to forge a dramatic wall-mounted candle holder or electric lantern arm. Book Nook Guardian: Reposition and scale the raven elements to frame a dark fantasy or gothic bookshelf insert. Dice Tower Canopy: Modify the rear plating and neck structure to funnel tabletop dice through the beak or open feathers. Trophy Belt Buckle: Shrink the head profile down into a massive statement belt buckle for renaissance faire costumes. Dungeon Master Screen Crest: Mount the raven head to the top center of a custom DM screen to loom over your gaming table. Motorcycle Helmet Accessory: Adapt the aerodynamic feather crest and beak profile to fit as a custom helmet attachment wrap. Guitar / Instrument Wall Hook: Reinforce the neck and beak structure to cradle the headstock of an electric guitar or bass. Key Rack & Lanyard Holder: Integrate small hooks into the hanging bead sections to organize keys and daily carry items by the front door. Curtain Tie-Back: Scale down individual feather tiers or side profiles into elegant, moody window hardware. Incense Burner: Route an internal channel from the beak to puff smoke outward when an incense cone is placed inside the base.
