The sculpt is inspired by the chilling sequence surrounding the Prancing Pony in Bree, where the Black Riders pursue Frodo and his companions while searching relentlessly for the Ring. Whether displayed alongside other Nazgûl, Frodo and the Hobbits, or as a standalone centerpiece, this Ringwraith makes an imposing addition to any Middle-earth collection. 💍 LORE INSIGHT The Ringwraiths, also known as the Nazgûl, were once nine mortal Men who received Rings of Power from Sauron. Over time, the Rings corrupted them until they faded from the mortal world and became servants completely bound to the will of the Dark Lord. When the One Ring was discovered in the Shire, Sauron sent the Nine to hunt its bearer. Their pursuit led them to Bree, where they searched for Frodo Baggins at the Prancing Pony. Believing the Hobbits to be sleeping in their room, the Black Riders attacked during the night – only to discover that their prey had escaped their grasp. Instead of using pure black everywhere, combine black, charcoal, dark grey, and subtle blue-grey highlights to separate the many layers of fabric. Thin washes can deepen the recesses, while gentle dry brushing and edge highlights will reveal the sculpted folds and torn edges of the robes.
