A simple, reusable solution for damaged mosquito screens A small tear in a mosquito screen should not mean replacing the entire mesh. SnapShield is a practical two-part repair patch designed to cover damaged areas quickly and neatly. Place the two components on opposite sides of the screen, align them over the tear and press them together until the integrated clips snap into place. The damaged area is immediately covered by a new protective mesh, helping prevent mosquitoes and other insects from passing through.       It is recommended to use pliers to firmly snap the two supports into place.   Small Version: Front Piece: 72 × 46 × 2.2 mm Front Piece Including Clips: 72 × 46 × 5.35 mm Rear Piece: 72 × 46 × 3.4 mm Fully Assembled: 72 × 46 × approximately 5.6 mm Large Version: Front Piece: 144 × 92 × 2.8 mm Front Piece Including Clips: 144 × 92 × 6.2 mm Rear Piece: 144 × 92 × 4.2 mm Fully Assembled: 144 × 92 × approximately 7.3 mm Why SnapShield? Repairs torn mosquito screens in seconds Click-snap assembly No glue or adhesive (you can put it to strengthen the snap) No screws No need to remove the screen Integrated protective mesh Clean, compact and discreet appearance Reusable and replaceable Easy multicolour customization Designed for simple home printing Helps extend the life of an existing mosquito screen Reduces waste by avoiding complete screen replacement   How It Works Locate the damaged area on the mosquito screen. Place the mesh component over the hole. Position the matching frame on the opposite side of the screen. Carefully align the snap points. Press around the perimeter until the components click securely together. Check that the tear is completely covered. Your mosquito screen is now protected again. Tip: Start pressing from one end and gradually close the remaining clips. This makes alignment easier and reduces stress on the printed parts.   What Is Included The print plate contains the components required to create two complete SnapShield repair patches. Each repair patch consists of: One outer frame One matching component with integrated mesh Integrated click-snap connection points No purchased accessories are required.   Recommended Applications SnapShield can be used on: Window mosquito screens Door insect screens Balcony screens Camper and caravan screens Garden enclosure mesh Other thin flexible insect-screen materials It is ideal for repairing small or medium localized tears without dismantling the complete screen.   Printing Recommendations SettingRecommendationMaterialPETG recommendedAlternative materialPLA or ASALayer height0.20 mmWalls3Top/Bottom layers4Infill15–20%SupportsNot requiredBrimNormally not requiredOrientationPrint flat as providedPrinter calibrationRecommended for reliable snap-fit tolerancesMaterial Advice PETG is the recommended choice because it provides a useful balance of flexibility, impact resistance and durability. PLA is suitable for indoor windows or protected locations, but it may deform if exposed to strong heat or prolonged direct sunlight. For outdoor installations with intense sunlight, ASA is the best option if your printer can handle it safely.   Assembly Tips Allow the parts to cool completely before removing them from the build plate. Remove any stringing or small imperfections around the snap points. Place the two components on opposite sides of the damaged screen and carefully align all connection points. Start pressing from one end, then gradually close the remaining clips. Do not force the parts together if the clips are not correctly aligned. The snap-fit system is designed to hold without adhesive. It is recommended to use pliers to firmly snap the two supports into place, pressing each of the four sides one at a time to secure the snap-fit connections. If the connection is too tight, check flow calibration and elephant-foot compensation. For a discreet repair, use a colour similar to the original mosquito screen. For a more decorative result, choose a contrasting colour.   Important Notes SnapShield is intended for localized mosquito-screen damage. Very large tears, heavily stretched mesh or damage close to the main frame may require replacement of the original screen material. Snap-fit results can vary slightly depending on filament type, extrusion calibration and printer accuracy. A correctly calibrated printer is recommended.
