SkadisForge — Modular IKEA SKÅDIS Pegboard Generator Version: 1.0.0 SkadisForge is a MakerWorld customizer for creating rectangular and square pegboard modules compatible with the IKEA SKÅDIS slot layout. Build a small standalone board or combine complete modules into a larger installation. Each module keeps a full outline and its own mounting points. Hidden rear plates connect neighboring modules with M4 x 12 screws and captured M4 nuts. Depending on filament prices, material choice, and print settings, a printed board may cost less or more than a ready-made IKEA board. The main advantage is flexibility: SkadisForge lets you create a modular board size matched to your wall, workspace, and printer. This is an independent compatibility project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IKEA. Boost MeIf SkadisForge helped you build a board that fits your wall, printer, and accessories, a Boost helps me keep developing practical parametric generators.🔧 What You Can Customize Module width and height in 40 mm increments, plus thickness and an outer corner radius up to 10 mm Number of complete module columns and rows Nominal 5 x 15 mm slots, FDM allowance, or custom slot adjustment Optional half-slots and quarter-slots completing the pattern across shared edges Hidden two-module and four-module rear connector plates M4 x 12 connector screws and captured rear M4 nuts Four fixed BOSL2 M4 corner mounting points with configurable screw-head seating Fixed 8 mm rear wall offset with matching connector plates and separate spacers Preview colors, exploded spacing, and debug guides 📐 Included Module Presets 80 x 80 mm 80 x 120 mm 120 x 120 mm 120 x 200 mm 200 x 200 mm 200 x 280 mm 280 x 280 mm Fully custom rectangular module 🧩 How Larger Boards Work Choose the size of one complete module, then set Module columns and Module rows. SkadisForge generates repeated full boards and the rear connector plates needed between them. Corner rounding is applied only to the four outside corners of the complete assembled grid. Corners between neighboring modules stay square for clean, gap-free seams. Enable Shared edge slots to complete the SKADIS pattern across module seams. Two neighboring edges form full slots from matching halves, while four-module intersections use matching quarters and a clearance cutout in the rear connector. Custom module width and height use 40 mm increments to preserve slot and connector alignment. One complete module must fit your printer. Print layout separates all modules and adds the required connector plates plus optional spares. 🧪 Test Before a Large Print Use Slot fit test to compare five slot allowances with your printer and accessories. Use Connector and wall-mount test to verify the M4 x 12 connector fit, captured nut pockets, countersinks, and wall spacing before printing multiple modules. All corner holes use standardized BOSL2 M4 medium-clearance geometry. The same hole system works for wall mounting and hidden rear module connectors. 🖨️ Print Notes Select Print layout before export. Modules print with the visible face on the build plate. Connector plates and ordinary spacers are separate support-free parts with the same wall-offset height; no shorter spacer is required beneath a connector. PETG is a practical first choice for workshop and utility boards. PLA works for many dry indoor installations. Use suitable wall fasteners and verify the expected load before mounting valuable tools. 🌍 Languages The customizer is available in English, Polish, and German. Changelog 1.0.0 - 2026-09-02 Initial release with compatible slot geometry, seam-completing shared slots, complete modular boards, rear M4 x 12 connectors, separate wall spacers, mounting holes, fit tests, and three language versions.
