I recently set out to bank a big pile of new bots so I could just churn out uploads one after another, but I see it's been almost 6 months since I have released a new bot so I'm just going to start releasing them when they're done. Up first is Fudgement Day, a bot that transforms into a fudge pop. PETG will be the recommended filament type, for the joints at least, for all bots going forward. Upgraded joints One of the biggest issues I heard about with the previous series of Docobots was that their joints didn't hold up, and they would eventually fall apart. I have redesigned my ball and socket joint and it has way more grip now. Between switching to PETG and the new ball and socket joint, I'm confident these bots will hold up to rough play. All sockets will be printed separately to ensure integrity of the socket and to give users the choice of printing the bot in whatever type of filament they want while maintaining PETG joints. The only exception to this is Fudgement Day's arms where a lack of space made it necessary to build the sockets into the arm. The other bots that are done will all use inserted sockets. Notes Assembly is fairly simple and shouldn't take very long. Check out my youtube video above for the full assembly and transformation guide. No magnets or hardware of any kind, but super glue is strongly recommended for the sockets. Everything is printed in PETG except for the stick. That is printed in PLA Matte Latte Brown because that was the closest to a fudge-pop stick colour that I had on hand.
