This repair plate is designed for Ikea KOMPLEMENT soft closing hinges that are used on their doors like their PAX wardrobe range. This repair plate should also work on the Ikea HJÄLPA hinges, which seem to be the same shape (although I haven't fully checked that). The Ikea KOMPLEMENT/HJÄLPA hinges attach to their Ikea doors using two screws, and those screws are the weak points of the hinge design. Since the Ikea doors are made from a fairly soft chipboard or MDF material, the screws can easily pull out. Through overuse, over-tightening or general abuse, the screws can pull free from their holes and after that, there's no way to screw them back in once the thread in the door has been stripped. Unless you use a repair plate like this one, the only option is to buy a new door, which is expensive and rather wasteful. I designed this repair plate to fit snuggly over the top of the hinge plate and also its bulbous soft close mechanism, thereby holding the hinge securely in place. I've added holes for plenty of fixing screws - probably more than needed - in case you want to use all 13 of them for the extra reassurance that comes from that. I'm sure that it would hold securely using only half of the screws though, so the choice is yours. The screw holes have a diameter of 4 mm and are countersunk. The plate is 4 mm thick. The maximum screw length must be less than the door thickness, plus that 4 mm plate thickness, in order to prevent the screws from protruding through the front of the door. For example, the doors on my PAX wardrobe are 15 mm thick, so the screws need to be less than 19 mm in length. I used 19 x 4 mm screws (see last two photos) on my mirror-fronted PAX doors and they worked perfectly. The total dimensions on the repair plate are 106 x 53 x 14 mm. I printed this part in PLA and it works very well. I have uploaded a print profile which uses my preferred support method, whereby I use a different filament type for the support/part interface (e.g. PETG support interface for the PLA part & support). That method achieves a smooth interface and easily removable supports. If you don't have an AMS or a multi-filament capability though, and you would prefer to use the same filament for the supports, feel free to create you own print profile or to re-do the slicing using the STP and STL files that I've provided.
