From Pousse-Pousse to Cyclo

From Pousse-Pousse to Cyclo One body. Two vehicles. One story. For the Custom Cyclo Challenge, I wanted to create something different from a conventional cyclo. Instead of designing another cyclo, I wanted to design the story of how one could have evolved. This model combines two Vietnamese transportation concepts in a single modular design: Pousse-Pousse Remove the front bicycle module and the model becomes a traditional two-wheeled Vietnamese pousse-pousse, inspired by historical designs from the late 19th century. It features the characteristic passenger cabin, large spoked wheels, pulling bars and folding canopy.   Custom Cyclo Attach the detachable front module and the same passenger cabin becomes a three-wheeled cyclo.   The bicycle section includes: Handlebar Pedals Bicycle frame Detachable connection to the passenger cabin Modular 2-in-1 design The main idea behind the project is simple:   One passenger cabin → two different vehicles.   The front bicycle section can be detached from the rear cabin, allowing the model to be displayed either as a traditional pousse-pousse or as a three-wheeled cyclo. The connection was designed specifically to make the transformation simple while keeping the proportions and appearance of both configurations coherent.   Design I designed the entire model in Fusion 360.     The design is inspired by Vietnamese historical transportation and traditional pousse-pousse aesthetics, but it is an original interpretation rather than an exact historical reproduction. I wanted to combine historical character with the possibilities offered by modern 3D printing.   ❤️ Why I made it The Vietnamese cyclo is much more than a means of transportation.
