Simply, these are base inserts for miniature bases based on 40k official base sizes with inserts for 6x2mm magnets that allow for safer transportation. I printed out a few rugged, pelican-like, containers with the intention of using them as transportation for my army. Sadly, it turned out that no one had created a viable storage solution for army transportation using a Gridfinity system, so I decided to be the first. I measured each base precisely, and created a base insert that is flush with the bases, leaves room for any bulges or extrusions across different types of bases, and spent countless hours perfecting the formula. Now, I can share my Gridfinity magnetized storage solution with you all. You can attach the insert to the base with plastic glue (I use Tamiya extra thin cement), or hot glue. The magnet has a bit of extra room if using a 6x2mm so that you can use either a dab of hot glue or superglue. For gluing the magnet, I would recommend the following steps: Get a magnetized base and a sheet of parchment paper to cover it. Put the magnet for the base on top of the magnetized base with the parchment paper in between. Put a dab of hot glue or superglue into the hole(s). Lay the base with the insert over top of the magnet, pressing down to ensure that it is flush with the surface. Let sit for a minute or two, then remove. For models that have more than 1 magnet, the holes are spaced 42mm apart to be compatible with Gridfinity standards. If you have a Gridfinity layout with a magnet in the centre of the unit, like the rugged boxes (I use the 15u Schubox Gridfinity Box v2) seen in the pictures, your models will fit perfectly on the grid in a variety of different layouts. Currently, I have standard base inserts for: 32mm round 40mm round 50mm round 60mm round 90mm round 72x45mm oval As well as alternatives for the push-fit model bases (eg. Armageddon) for: 32mm round 40mm round 105x70mm oval I will be happy to expand the library for other base sizes. If you have any that you specifically need, please leave a comment and I will get on it as soon as I can!
