Boost MeA boost costs you nothing and it puts this in front of the next person looking for one.A stand for any roll you cut from Kraft paper, gift wrap, cling film, vinyl, HTV, ribbon. Two side stands, a rod through them, and a knob on each side that you screw down onto the rod. The roll stops rolling away when you pull, so you get a straight cut with one hand. The knobs screw into printed threads No screws, no bearings, no glue, no inserts. The thread is part of the print, and it holds by friction on the rod. Half a turn locks the roll; half a turn back and the roll comes out. Set it to your roll Type in the diameter of the rod you have and the width of your roll. Everything else resizes itself, and the console tells you how long to cut the rod. Rods from 16 to 50 mm, rolls from 20 to 400 mm wide. What you print 2 stands and 2 knobs. One plate on a 256 mm bed, 2h45 and 109 g. On a 180 mm bed, you print half the plate twice, 1h30 each. 2 feet. Another 55 minutes. Print them if your surface is slippery. A rod: a wooden dowel cut to length, or print the axle if you have no dowel. Before you print No supports anywhere. Knobs go on the plate head down, thread up. Don't rotate them. 0.2 mm layers, 2 walls, 8% infill. Nothing coarser than 0.2 mm or the threads get rough. If a knob won't start in its thread, raise "thread fit" by 0.05 and reprint just the knob. The stands stay as they are. Putting it together  1. Push each stand into its foot (if printed). 2. Slide the rod through one arch, the roll, then the other arch. 3. Screw a knob down on each side until it touches the rod. No tools. Printed and used on an A1 mini in PLA. One warning from my own mistake: if you print the axle, hold the segments close to the joint when you screw them together. I twisted one from the far end and snapped the pin.
