Druid Bear Helmet – Universal Fit (Cosplay / Display) Step into the world of ancient nature magic! This highly detailed Druid Bear Helmet features an intricate wood-grain finish, mystical runes, overgrown branches, and wild tusks. It's the ultimate prop for LARP, Cosplay, Halloween, or as an epic display piece for your gaming room. ✂️ Why is the model split into parts? Standard full-size helmet prints often suffer from two issues: fitting on average 3D printer beds and fitting different head shapes. To ensure a universal fit for any head size, I specifically split this model into multiple sections. Universal Sizing: Splitting allows you to adjust alignment and fit comfortable padding inside for any head shape. Easy Printing: Fits standard 3D printers without needing a massive build volume. 🛠️ Assembly & Post-Processing Guide As seen in the raw print photos, the helmet is printed in separate pieces. To achieve the seamless, realistic final look (shown in the main cover photo), follow these steps: Gluing: Join the printed parts using Superglue (CA glue) or 2-part Epoxy. Gap Filling: To conceal the split seams, fill the joints using body filler, putty, or UV resin mixed with powder. Sanding & Priming: Sand the filled seams flat until the transition between parts is invisible. Apply a coat of filler primer to seal any micro-gaps. Painting & Finishing:Paint using acrylics with a dry-brushing technique to highlight the deep wood grain texture. Add fake model moss into the bark crevices for that realistic, overgrown druidic aesthetic! ⚙️ Recommended Print Settings Material: PLA, PLA+, or PETG (PETG recommended if you plan on wearing it to outdoor conventions). Layer Height: 0.20mm (Finer layers reduce sanding time around detailed runes). Wall Loops: 3 – 4 perimeters (Crucial for strength when sanding seams). Infill: 10% – 15% (Gyroid or Cubic) – Keep it light so it remains comfortable on your head! Supports: Tree Supports (Auto) are strongly recommended for the teeth, branches, and inner cavity. They clean up easily without damaging fine details. 📸 Show Off Your Makes! I'd love to see your finished creations! Please consider sharing photos of your prints, custom paint jobs, or cosplay outfits in the Makes section below. Happy printing, Adventurers! 🎨✨
