Stationed in the highest level of Minas Tirith, they guarded the Citadel, the White Tower, and the famous White Tree of Gondor that stood beside the fountain in the Court of the Fountain. Their distinctive uniforms included black clothing and tall helmets decorated with wings of seabird feathers, reflecting the ancient traditions of Gondor and its Númenórean heritage.
