SnapShut is a general-purpose rugged storage case designed to give you the choice between a completely hardware-free snap-together build or a more traditional assembly using M3 hardware. The same case body works either way — simply print the latch set that matches the assembly method you prefer. The SnapShut system is available in multiple sizes and optional corner radius', making it useful for everything from small electronics and hardware to tools, hobby supplies, travel gear, accessories, and general organization.   I designed this case because I had used other cases that snapped together but felt like they were going to break when you tried to attach the top to the bottom. In the instruction GIF below you will be able to see how easily the top and bottom go together and that it is still secure once attached. I also noticed that all the options out there were either snaps or hardware and I wanted makers to be able to print 1 case and have the choice of both. The only thing extra to print is an extra set of latches for whichever style you want (17 minutes).  Two Ways to Build It Hardware-Free Snap Assembly No screws required. Uses M3 × 30 mm screws Print the included hardware-style latches Same main case design and dimensions Great option if you already keep M3 hardware on hand Important: Print the latch set that corresponds with your chosen assembly method. Two Corner Styles Each case size is available with two corner-radius options: 5.5 mm Radius – Tighter Corners A more squared-off appearance that maximizes usable interior space. Soft Radius – Rounded Corners A larger radius matched to the size of the case for a softer, more rounded appearance. Both versions have the same basic functionality, allowing you to choose the style that works best for your project. The lock feature is intended as a deterrent and should not be considered a high-security locking system. Assembly A video is included with the listing showing how to assemble the hardware-free SnapShut version. For screw assembly, use M3 × 30 mm hardware and print the corresponding screw-compatible latch set. Gasket Each size includes a TPU perimeter gasket designed to fit between the lid and base and help reduce dust, moisture, and air exchange. As with any 3D-printed enclosure, the finished case should not be considered certified waterproof, airtight, or security rated. Available Sizes Multiple footprints and depths are available to cover everything from compact everyday storage to larger equipment and project cases. Choose the print profile with the size, corner radius, and assembly method you prefer. Thank you! Assembly Instructions Simply line up the front of the box then press the top and bottom together on the hinge side. That's it!!! It should snap together easily and stay securely attached during normal use.   Place one side of a latch in the groove on the top of the box, then slide down on the opposite side.
